Autumn Wildlife Photography Course @ The Nature Discovery Centre
Oct 27 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Photograph the Autumn wildlife with practical guidance and tuition from wildlife photographer Iain Green. Discover and learn about seasonal specialities of the reserve and how to photograph them.

A practical course, the day will begin with an introductory session inside, before heading out to explore. Suitable for both beginner and intermediate photographers, the tuition is tailored to suit. Due to the small numbers on the course there will be plenty of time for individual tuition.

During the day we will learn how to photograph autumnal bird highlights, hunting herons, passing migrant and stunning scenery. You will learn how to create some creative photographs. We will explore colour, texture and the form of the natural landscape in Autumn. This course is suitable for anyone who would like to improve their photography skills or those who are new to photography and are mystified by the settings and buttons on the camera! The course is aimed primarily at adults but older children accompanied by an adult would be welcome.

Please come dressed for the weather, the terrain around the Centre and nature reserve is fairly level but can be uneven and muddy, so please wear sturdy footwear. Please bring you camera and instructions if you have them. The course fee includes refreshments throughout the day, lunch and afternoon tea.

Nature Explorers Club @ The Nature Discovery Centre
Nov 17 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Join us on the third Saturday of every month for a hands on wildlife club for 5-8 year olds. Each month follows a different theme with hands on wildlife activities, craft, stories and child-led play. Book for one session or a series of six.

What to bring?
The clubs are designed to allow child-led outdoor play. Come prepared to get muddy and be outside whatever the weather. We will also be cooking snacks on a fire. We recommend long trousers and closed toed shoes whatever the weather as you will be kneeling down and walking through long grass.

We want all children to be able to enjoy the club. If your child has any additional needs you would like to discuss please contact us. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
