The Naked Grape

The Judgement of Hungerford – the judges have decided! A dozen of our great customers recently tasted their way through 6 white and 6 red wines in our re-creation of The Judgement of Paris wine tasting in 1976. Just like 42 years ago we blind-tasted wines pitting France vs California.

A stunning Puligny Montrachet Burgundy won the whites, but the group unbeknownst to them chose exactly the same producer as the 1976 judges, selecting a brilliant Cabernet from Stags Leap as the favourite red.

A great night to enjoy wines you may never see again. We all agreed to meet in another 42 years and do it all again!

But if you can’t wait that long, drop into our next free open house Christmas Tasting on 12-6 pm on Saturday 17th November.

Drop in to try something new and exciting at The Naked Grape open seven days a week on the High Street (0pposite Barclays Bank).

Christian Alba’s Traditional Butchers
