Nordic Walking with Ashley Sandy

Nordic Walking turns a walk into a work-out, improving your posture while enjoying the countryside around Marlborough, Swindon, Hungerford and Newbury with Wessex Nordic Walking. The special walking poles are provided.

Free Taster Sessions

If you’ve not done any Nordic Walking before do try a free taster session to give you an idea of the benefits of walking with poles.

The sessions are in Hungerford, Marlborough or Swindon on Saturday mornings and mid week lunchtimes and evenings. For dates and locations of upcoming sessions please visit wessexnordicwalking.com/activities and filter for Taster Sessions (to do this please click on the arrow to the right of All Types of Activities and select Taster Sessions, then click on Search).

Once you have found the taster session you want to do, click on Book Activity to register for the session and complete a brief health questionnaire.

Please bring a drink of water and arrive at least 5 minutes before the session to get fitted with poles suitable for your height.

Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking and the weather. Please don`t wear very stiff walking boots if possible as these are not great for nordic walking. It is better to wear walking shoes or lighter walking boots.
