Bike Appeal for West Berkshire’s Rough Sleepers

Newbury Soup Kitchen and Penny Post are appealing for bicycles that will allow homeless and rough sleepers in our community to go to interviews, get to work and in some cases visit their children and families.

A bicycle can give someone independence and trust.

How can you help?

Could you spare a few pounds to cover the cost of any parts needed to fix the bikes and make them safe and roadworthy? The average parts cost of re-furbishing a bike is £20 (the collection, labour and delivery is being donated free by Terry from TR Cycle Repairs above). Please click here to make a PayPal donation and email penny@pennypost.org.uk to state that the donation is for the Bike Appeal.

Do you have a spare bike you don’t need any more? Terry from TR Cycle Repairs will kindly collect it from you and fix it for free for Newbury Soup Kitchen clients. Please contact penny@pennypost.org.uk to arrange.

Many thanks!
