Easter Holiday Fun and (hopefully) Revision Time

This is plenty going on locally to keep little people occupied this Easter holiday! See below for useful snippets about Easter Eggs, rabbits and what else is going on for adults this Spring.

Holiday Activities for Children

Hungerford Scouts & the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race – If you are out & about over the Easter weekend watching the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race on Fri 30 & Sat 31 March. Why not come along the towpath to the Croft Field to see the Hungerford Checkpoint in action.

Great Shefford Duck Derby –  Easter Saturday 31 March, race starts at 3pm at East Shefford Farm (with the kind permission of Mr & Mrs Clive Povey).  Sponsor a Duck for £2, tickets available from the Social Club, Garage Shop and outside the Village Shop.  Tea and cakes available at the Village Hall after the race.

Easter Steaming Weekend with Crofton Beam Engines  Children’s story trail on Sat 31 March – Mon 2 April, Easter Saturday, Sunday and Easter Monday. Suitable for ages 4-12.

Easter Monday Easter Egg Hunt 10am Mon 2 April St Lawrence’s Church Hungerford

Ignition Tennis  Easter Tennis Camps at Chieveley or Hungerford (3-6 April), Malmesbury or Park House Newbury (9-13 April) for eggcelent fun and games! For more information visit the website.

Mermaid Swimming Experiences for children 6-14yrs with AquaSplash at Ridgeway Leisure Centre near Swindon 10.00-11.30am Tues 3 April  Group and private swimming lessons for all ages also available. Click here for more information.

Easter Egg Hunt and Family Fun Day at Swindon Rugby Football Club  This family fun day at Swindon RFC will also be raising money for Brighter Futures Radiotherapy Appeal this weekend.
