Newbury’s Festival of Light 2017

The Corn Exchange Newbury’s 8th annual Festival of Light: Lantern Procession lit up Newbury’s the town centre with magic on Sunday 10 December. The community came together to have fun and celebrate the festive season.

The evening’s Procession was just the tip of the iceberg though, as over the last few months, over 900 lanterns were made by local schools, community groups and participants at free public lantern making workshops.

You may have noticed collection buckets at the parade, and the Corn Exchange thanks everyone who made a donation. They need the continued support of all our audiences and the local community to keep doing all the brilliant work they do, like staging the Lantern Procession and other exciting outdoor performances in the heart of Newbury, for free.

They are asking us to make a suggested donation of £5 to support them in continuing to make a positive difference to people’s lives through the arts.
