Facilities Officer for the Town & Manor of Hungerford

The Town & Manor of Hungerford is a locally based charity which owns and manage the Hungerford Town Hall. It is looking for someone to work in the Town Hall on a part-time basis of 10 hours per week with flexible hours. The job is to work as part of a small team to look after the Town Hall, provide for event hirers and liaise with customers. The rate is £10 per hour.


• Facilitating events – taking bookings of events, managing the events online diary, meeting with hirers, setting up for events, hosting of event hirers, taking payments
• Access – arranging access for hirers, providing access to contractors, taking requests, security of Town Hall.
• Markets – putting out signage, collecting fees, controlling set-up.
• Upkeep of the Town Hall – including minor maintenance tasks (such as painting and repairs), provision of supplies.
• Office support – to assist with administration tasks such as mailouts, report collation and banking.


• Customer-service experience.
• Locally based (within 30 minutes travel).
• Flexibility on hours.


• Building and decorating experience.
• Event-organisation experience.
• IT skills.
• Facilities-management experience.
