Corn Exchange Crossing Lines
Exciting Performance Opportunity in Newbury this Summer

Be part of the Corn Exchange’s largest outdoor theatre performance to date, performing to thousands of people at Goldwell Park, Newbury on Saturday 12th August at 9.30pm with world famous German Outdoor Theatre Company Actiontheater PAN.OPTIKUM

Actiontheater PAN.OPTIKUM, who are one of the leading companies in Europe for creating truly spectacular large scale outdoor performances, are leading on the creation of this performance which has been co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

Since December 2015 in ten cities all over Europe, young people from each place were selected to develop an original piece of outdoor theatre in public spaces local to them.  The group from Newbury performed their show in August 2016 on Greenham Common.

From June 2017, 27 of the young people, up to three from each city, have been selected from the original 200 to meet each other in Freiburg, Germany to create the first European street theatre company and produce a large scale spectacular performance, touring through Europe and overseas.

Would you like to perform in this show?

We are looking for volunteers aged 15 plus to work alongside the newly formed company to perform with the show in Newbury on Saturday 12th August at Goldwell Park.  It promises to be the largest and most spectacular performance that the Corn Exchange have ever presented in Newbury.

The piece is a dance hip/hop piece so volunteers do need to have some dance experience or at least be physically fit and feel confident they can remember choreography.

This project is for you if:
