Marlborough Housing Association
Flat to Let (Sheltered Housing) in Marlborough

The Marlborough & District Housing Association (MDHA) has a one bedroom upstairs flat available for rent at 10 The Green, Marlborough from 1st June 2017.

Applications are invited from residents of Marlborough & District who are over the age of 55 years and can live independently as no care provision is available on site. No pets are permitted and there is very limited parking available and there are no allocated spaces or garages.

Residents are responsible for their own council tax, telephone and utility charges and a Medical Report is required from the applicant’s doctor.

Please contact Mrs. Deuchar on 07887 924539 for an application form.

Property Details

The flats are self-contained and consist of either a large bed-sitting room, kitchen and bathroom, in the case of the single flats; or sitting room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Every flat has its own access and small garden area.

All flats have triple-glazed wondows, wall and loft insulation.

There are no garages or allocated parking spaces. As car parking is extremely limited, car ownership is discouraged.  The shops are a short distance away, highly accessible for both walkers and for mobility buggies.

The gardens, which are maintained by the Housing Association, are mainly communal, although there are areas in the grounds that tenants are encouraged to tend themselves.

A Laundry Room, which houses washing machines and a tumble dryer, is provided for tenants’ use.  There is no facility for washing machines or tumble dryers in the flats.

No pets are allowed.

The monthly rent is reviewed annually in April.  The Service Charge includes use of the laundry and grounds maintenance. Residents are responsible for their electricity, telephone and council tax.  Each flat is metered separately and cooking is by electricity only.

There is no full-time warden at the flats, only a voluntary site warden, who may be called upon for minor day-to-day queries only, so tenants must be able to look after themselves.

  2. Vanessa Hillier

I am asking on behalf of my brother who is 59.
He was born in Marlborough and moved to Wroughton about 6 years ago to look after my elderly father who has since passed away.
He is looking at ways to come back to Marlborough where I still live .
Would he fit the criteria ?
    Yours Vanessa Hillier
