Honesty Cookery School

Honesty Cookery School is run by best-selling What’s for Dinner? author Romilla Arber. The school is situated in North Sydmonton just south of Newbury in a beautifully constructed oak barn. The modern spacious kitchen has ample teaching space and equipment. There is also a large area for eating and an area for relaxing. The school’s quiet rural location provides relaxed and inspirational environment where you can learn about the importance of good food in our hectic lives. The school is also establishing a name in the corporate team building field.  We have a comfortable meeting room for approx 20 – 30 people and we can also offer some hands-on cookery as a fun team building exercise.

Cookery Courses

The school runs courses covering many aspects of cooking from bread making, cheese and yoghurt making, family cooking, baking as well as some informative courses relating to wine, olive oil and cheese production. Guest tutors and speakers have a wealth of knowledge to share.

The courses aim to improve proficiency and confidence in the kitchen, and cater for all abilities from the less experienced cook to the more knowledgeable. Also available body and mind courses which combine yoga/tai chi with nutritious vegetarian meals.

10% of all course fees goes to Romilla’s Food Education Trust that helps schools improve their cooking for children.

Gift Vouchers are available that can be redeemed against a cookery course at Honesty Cookery School or at Honesty’s Crown & Garter pub in Inkpen. Please call 01635 268989 to purchase a voucher.
