Philip Tull Photography Studio

Philip Tull is an experienced freelance photographer, working with many major companies, government departments, newspapers and theatres for 20 years.  He is reknown for his ability to communicate with people and put them at their ease.  His approach is low key, whether in Downing Street, the theatre, the studio or in people’s homes, because people have to feel comfortable to achieve the best results. For more information about Philip’s theatrical photography see http://www.philiptullphotography.co.uk/

The Studio:

Throughout his career, Philip has always done portraits (and some weddings) but he now has his first ‘studio’ home. It is a great space in the Old Fire Station in Hungerford town centre where families and individuals can come for portraits as well as training in various photographic techniques. Any would-be models can get in touch as occasionally he will run more ‘fashion-shoot’ sessions, in conjunction with AD Hoc hairdressers.

Ownership of Images:

Philip likes to offer his clients ownership of all their images with the choice of which images they get printed without having to be dependent on him. Many people like to print their own images at home so this is better value for money and there is no ‘hard sell’ involved. He will even assist by arranging discounts with some local framers.

Portraits

The studio is fully equiped to satisfy most portrait genres. Whether you are after the high-key bright white background or a more intimate approach, Philip will go through the various options with you before the shoot itself. Most studio ‘shoots’ take an hour or so, depending on the number of people involved. Other locations, including your own home, are also possible for portrait settings.

You should come in whatever clothing you feel comfortable wearing. As a rule of thumb avoid wearing really contrasting bright colours, white if using the white background or at least bring a change of clothing if it doesn’t quite work. If shooting for B&W it’s about textures and contrast. For more intimate and bold portraits, black tops work well on a black background as does grey and skin tones. Philip will discuss this all with you before your shoot.

Ordering Digital Files & Prints

Philip will provide an online gallery for you to view privately before deciding which prints you want to order, or which digital files you would like to own, or both.  See below for print price list from which you can order as many prints as you like.
